A One Bedroom Hall Kitchen Apartment also known as 1BHK Apartment means it contains 1 Bedroom, 1 Hall and 1 Kitchen together with 1 or 2 toilets. Such apartments generally have smaller Halls and Bed Room Size to keep the area of the flat minimum. BUA (Built up Area) for such apartment varies from 400 Sft to 650 Sft. Our experience has shown that challenges for 1BHK are adjusting for dining table, study table, washing machine and provision for extra bed for area in the range of 400 Sft to 450 Sft apartments. Contemporary 1BHK Interior Layout Plans have folding dining tables which also acts like a study table. For extra beds, provision is made by using sofa as sofa cum bed or folding beds. Modern 1BHK Interior Layout Plans are some times converted into Studio Apartments specially when it is a nuclear family so as to have a feeling of spaciousness.
