Two and Half Bedroom Hall Kitchen aka 2.5BHK apartment means it contains 2 Bedrooms, 1 small room, 1 Hall and 1 Kitchen together with 2 or 3 toilets. The Hall of a 2.5BHK apartment is generally bigger than 1BHK and 1.5BHK flats. BUA for such Apartments varies from 600 Sft to 1200 Sft. 2.5BHK Residential Apartments are are found mostly in metros where the real estate prices are steep and joint families need 3BHK or 4BHK apartments . 2.5BHK Challenge is to accomadate joint families, their chidlren and senior citizens. Our experience has shown that there are majority requests to convert small room into a full fledged bedroom like a 3BHK with all the possible amenities which is a challenge. At the same time there have been requests to merge small room either into hall or bedroom depending on feasibilty and making the merged room bigger and in effect becomes a 2BHK. Contemporary 2.5BHK Interior Layout Plan can accommodate a living and a dining space both in Hall. Small room is converted into a bedroom which has either folding beds or folding study table with minimal sized wardrobe. Sofas in Hall are generally sofa cum beds for children. Dining tables double up as study table. Bedrooms have all the needed amenities For Senior Citizens, a provision is also made for prayer area and a TV unit. Modern 2.5BHK Interior Layout Plan designs have a minimalistic design approach towards furniture. Goal is to give a feeling of large open area but with only necessary furniture. In some cases children and grand parents sleep in same room with kids having bunk beds. Small Room is used as study room.
